Win an iPad by telling your housing story
Researchers at the University of Exeter are working with Exeter City Council to look at housing for the future in the city.
People are being given the opportunity to win an iPad by taking part in a housing survey which will ultimately help to develop housing and planning policies.
Dr Jenny Barnett, of Geography at the University of Exeter, said: “We are inviting anyone who has any kind of housing difficulties or concerns within Exeter – such as those unable to afford rent or a mortgage for their own property, commuters unable to live in Exeter, those homeless or sofa surfing, or people living in poor quality or inappropriately sized housing – to complete the survey.”
As well as Dr Barnett, Professor Paul Cloke, Dr Stewart Barr and Dr Andy Williams of Geography are involved in the project.
Cllr Rob Hannaford, Lead Councillor for Housing and Customer Access, said: “We’re really keen to hear from people who are not currently registered for social housing. We already know quite a lot about housing need in Exeter because there are over 4,000 households registered on Devon Home Choice, now we want to hear from those not on the list.”
The Council is keen to hear about the housing circumstances of as many people as possible to ensure a fair cross-section of the views of residents, workers and those wishing to move to the city.

The survey will be available until 21 September. All entries will be treated anonymously and will be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win an iPad
